State looks to fill vacancies on forest committees

The Oregon Department of Forestry is looking to fill vacancies on its eastern, southwest and northwest regional forest practices committees.

The deadline to apply is July 31.

Regional forest practices committees play a role in advising the Board of Forestry on forestry issues and management approaches. The committees typically meet three times a year, but the frequency is determined by the committee chairpersons.

The committees are looking for diverse viewpoints, and the ideal candidates will have experience in forest operations and care deeply about forests. Positions are volunteer status and receive no compensation beyond travel expenses.
