Storms increase Sunday, timing stays the same

Showers and storms will continue into your Saturday evening with the strongest east of I-75. Some storms will move back toward our coast after sunset as temps remain in the 80s.

Sunday morning starts out dry with temperatures in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees. There will be a few more storms Sunday with similar rain timing, during the late morning hours and lingering into the evening as highs rise to the low to mid 90s.

There won’t be much change to our pattern with earlier storms Monday through Wednesday and mainly afternoon and evening storms to finish out the work week. Lows will only drop to the upper 70s to near 80 degrees with highs in the low to mid 90s.

Beryl continues to make its way toward the southern Texas coast and is expected to make landfall near Corpus Christi on Monday as a Category one or two hurrcaine before moving into eastern Texas and Arkansas as a much weaker system. Otherwise the tropics are very quiet.
