Straphanger slashed in face during clash at lower Manhattan subway station

A 39-year-old man was slashed in the face during a clash with another commuter at the Fulton St. subway station, police said.

The victim was waiting at the A/C platform in the station near Broadway about 1:20 a.m. Saturday when he began arguing with another man.

The two quickly came to blows, witnesses told police. During the fight, the suspect pulled a blade and cut the victim on the right side of his face, cops said. He also cut his right arm.

EMS rushed the victim to Bellevue Hospital, where he was treated.

The slasher, who was wearing an orange jacket, jumped on a Brooklyn-bound A train and disappeared, cops said.

No arrests have been made. It was not immediately clear if the two knew each other or what they were arguing about.
