Stuart Krasnow Named EVP Creative Affairs For Telepictures Prods

Telepictures Prods. has brought in unscripted producer Stuart Krasnow as EVP Creative Affairs. He will replace Lisa Hackner, who stepped down in March after a 22-year tenure to become a producer, and will report to Telepictures president Hilary Estey McLoughlin. Krasnow will oversee Telepictures’ creation of new programming for first-run syndication business, cable strips and digital. ”Stuart completely understands our business and brings a fresh perspective and entrepreneurial spirit from running his own production company,” Estey McLoughlin said.

Krasnow has developed and produced series in almost every genre of unscripted television for broadcast and cable networks, including The Weakest Link, Average Joe, Dog Eat Dog and The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency. Most recently, he has been running his own production company, Krasnow Prods., which had overall production deals with Fox 21 and FremantleMedia.

In daytime, Krasnow executive produced Ricki Lake’s original syndicated talk show as well as King World’s The Martin Short Show and was an Executive Consultant for ABC’s The View. Previously, Krasnow held the post of Senior Producer on Dateline NBC and NBC’s Today and served as Senior Talent Coordinator on Late Night with David Letterman.

Krasnow will oversee Telepictures’ creative development team, which includes Sheila Bouttier, SVP, Programming and Development, who is an eight-year veteran of the department, and Tomii Crump, Director of Development, who joined the team in October 2011 from TV Land. Krasnow will also manage the producers with overall deals at the company.
