Sunbury death investigation closes portion of South Fourth Street

Jul. 12—SUNBURY — City police have closed a portion of South Fourth Street, near Walnut Street, as they investigate a death.

Northumberland County District Attorney Michael O'Donnell confirmed an incident was under investigation by city and state police, but he declined to reveal further details this morning. Sunbury Police Chief Travis Bremigen confirmed that investigators are probing a death.

O'Donnell said there is no threat to the public, adding that more information will be released as it becomes available.
