Investigation revealed the 35-year-old victim had been living in his 2006 Dodge Charger, but found that the vehicle was being driven by someone else.

On Saturday, the suspect, Andre Aris, 29, and the victim’s car were found in the 17000 block of Madison Creek Drive.

Aris admitted to meeting with the victim last month and said the victim had given him the Dodge last week to sell. He also told detectives the man who gave him the car didn’t look like the victim, despite him having several of the victim’s photo ID cards.

A search warrant was executed at the Metro Self Storage Unit and a nearby hotel where detectives gathered evidence.

Aris was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and grand theft of a motor vehicle. He remains at the Orient Road Jail.
