18-year-old charged with murder in connection to Jakolbi Taylor shooting

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WFXR)– The Myrtle Beach Police Department has named the man arrested in connection to the deadly shooting of Jakolbi Taylor early morning on Saturday, July 20.

According to the police department, 18-year-old Gary Abraham of Aiken, South Carolina has been charged with one count of murder, three counts of Attempted Murder, and one count of Possession of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony.

During Abraham’s initial bond hearing on Sunday, July 28, our sister station WBTW reported no bond was set and he will go in front of a Circuit Court judge on Sept. 20 where one could be placed.

MYRTLE BEACH, Va. (WFXR)– The Myrtle Beach Police Department says a suspect is in custody in connection to the deadly shooting of Roanoke native Jakolbi Taylor on Saturday, July 20, according to our sister station WBTW.

Although details remain limited at this time, WBTW reports police charges are expected to be announced when formal charges are filed.
