Domestic violence charge dismissed against suspended NASCAR driver

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A domestic violence charge has been dropped against a suspended NASCAR driver in Mecklenburg County, court records confirm.

Dwayne ‘Gray’ Gaulding Jr. had been charged with a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence for an incident that allegedly happened back in April.

In court on Thursday the charge was ‘voluntarily dismissed,’ according to documents.

The former Cup Series and Xfinity driver was previously ordered to have no contact with the victim before being released into his father’s custody. He was listed as a part-time driver of the No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang for SS-Green Light Racing.”

NASCAR confirmed with Queen City News that Gaulding was suspended indefinitely.
