Taunton street where homicide occurred normally 'real quiet,' neighbors say

TAUNTON — The next-door neighbor of the Lothrop St. mobile home where a 17-year-old was allegedly shot and killed and an 18-year-old was injured said that the street was normally "real quiet."

"I got up at 5 o'clock this morning, and there was crime tape everywhere," said Lincoln Keene. "I knew something was up."

"It's a quiet place. Or it was a pretty quiet place," he added.

Lothrop Street divides two different resident owned manufactured home communities, and is lined with grass and several trees.

"It's always quiet here, besides sometimes speeding cars," said Shania Instasi, who lives a few houses down from the incident. "I've never had anything happen down here."
