The teen is just one of two people who are believed to have been responsible for the deadly shooting and the search continues for the second individual.

Authorities say Neuman was outside of his home paying a lawncare worker on Thursday when he spotted two individuals who were allegedly approaching with guns drawn.

Officers said Neuman spotted the armed individuals and pushed the lawncare worker to safety and drew his gun from his waistband.

The two individuals then opened fire on Neuman. Officers say he was able to fire back and the two individuals fled the scene.

During the encounter, Neuman suffered fatal injuries.

On Saturday, authorities released a community alert with a photograph and video of the individuals who are believed to have opened fire on Neuman. The alert generated several anonymous tips that provided authorities with the identity of the 16-year-old boy.

A member of the Area Four Priority Response Team also recognized the teen from a previous encounter.

Officers say the teen eventually turned himself in to authorities on Sunday.

According to police, the teen is expected to appear in court on Tuesday morning for arraignment.
