Tenn. Teen Who'd Been Missing for Days Is Found Dead in Woods, Teen Boy Charged with Murder

Trinity Bostic's remains were found along the side of a road in Hendersonville, Tenn.

A week after a Tennessee 17-year-old went missing, another teen has been accused of killing her.

A 17-year-old male is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Trinity Bostic, the Hendersonville Police Department said in a press release. Police did not release the identity of the male suspect.

Trinity was first reported missing on June 29 in Macon County, police said. The Macon County Sheriff’s Office said deputies began collecting information and traced her location to an area outside the county. Attempts to reach her were unsuccessful.

Four days after she was reported missing, on July 3, her remains were found along a roadway in Hendersonville by a worker picking up trash, according to Hendersonville police.

Authorities have not yet determined Trinity’s cause of death.

The teen suspect is from Westmoreland, Tenn., and is being held in Sumner County, police said.

Trinity’s high school graduating class started a GoFundMe to raise money for her family. So far, it was raised over $8,000.
