TGSO: Both suspects captured following July 14 manhunt

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office has announced that both suspects sought after in a manhunt that occurred on July 14 have been apprehended.

According to TGSO, members of the San Angelo Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety and the sheriff’s office responded to the 800 block of U.S. Highway 87 on July 14 at approximately 7 p.m. in reference to a gunshot victim. The victim was transported to Shannon Medical Center for treatment.

Witnesses at the scene told responding law enforcement that a Hispanic female and Black male were seen running north from the incident into a nearby wooded area. A ground search was initiated after a perimeter was developed.

After searching for nine hours and exhausting all possible leads, the search effort was terminated. Law enforcement found clothing items described as being the clothing the suspects were last seen wearing during the search, however.
