Third suspect arrested in Round Rock Juneteenth celebration shooting

ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — A third suspect was arrested Saturday in connection with the deadly June 15 shooting at a Juneteenth celebration in Round Rock.

The incident, which occurred at Old Settlers Park, resulted in two deaths and 14 injuries after police said a fight broke out between two groups. The victims were innocent bystanders.

According to the Round Rock Police Department, 18-year-old Keshawn Dixon was arrested in Killeen and taken to the Bell County jail.

RRPD said Dixon was charged with deadly conduct, a third-degree felony. Police said there was also the possibility of additional charges.

As of Saturday evening, RRPD said the investigation was ongoing and that the department would continue following leads involving additional suspects.

On June 20, Law enforcement arrested 17-year-old Ricky Thompson III in connection to the shooting. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

On June 21, police announced the arrest of a second suspect, a male juvenile. The unnamed suspect was taken to the Williamson County Detention Center.
