Three teenagers have been arrested for allegedly beating and stabbing an Iowa City West High student at the school after hours.
Tion Exum-Carson, 17 of Coralville, and Moayed Elsid, 16, and Nathaniel Washington, 16, of Iowa City were each charged with first-degree burglary, a Class "B" felony.

Teens were allegedly barred from West High
The trio, who police said are not West High students, allegedly entered Iowa City West High School around 8 p.m. on Aug. 23, "after the school was closed to the public and had no right to be inside," according to court documents. Once inside, the three teens allegedly chased a student through the halls and allegedly punched and stabbed the person.
Police say Washington is seen on surveillance video "holding a knife," kicking and punching the student before allegedly "stabbing (the person) multiple times."
Exum-Carson approached "holding a large knife" and allegedly kicked, punched and stabbed the person.
Washington and Exum-Carson are barred from West High after being issued "indefinite trespass warnings" in January of 2022, according to court documents. The court did not specify if Elsid is allowed on school grounds.
The injured student "sustained a cut on his left arm," according to a police report.
The stabbing coincided with the first day of school.

"We continue to work with law enforcement as they complete their investigation," the Iowa City Community School District said in a statement to the Press-Citizen.
A Johnson County District Court judge set bond for Elsid and Washington at $50,000 on Friday. Exum-Carson's bond was set at $75,000 on Monday.
