What time do the polls open in New Jersey on Election Day?

Election Day is upon us. On Tuesday, voters in New Jersey can make their voices heard in the presidential, congressional and other local elections.

The polls will open at 6 a.m. on Tuesday and close at 8 p.m. that evening.

You can find for your in-person voting location on the NJ Division of Elections website here.

Over a million people in New Jersey have already voted early in-person or by mail. Residents can track their mail-in ballot through their my Voter Record account that can be made on the state elections website.

The choice between the presidential nominees is not the only election on the ballot. Andy Kim and Curtis Bashsaw are squaring off to represent New Jersey on the U.S. Senate.

New Jersey also has every congressional seat up for grabs in Tuesday's election. Local and school board elections may also be on your ballot.

Folks in New Jersey may be feeling anxious and stressed this voting season, but patience is key because the result for the presidential election may not come until days after the polls close on Tuesday evening.
