Tishomingo men die in Monday ATV crash
BOONEVILLE – A father and son died Monday afternoon when their ATV collided with an SUV in Prentiss County.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle fatal crash on Highway 365 in Prentiss County Monday, Sept. 2 at around 2 p.m.
A 2021 Ford Expedition being driven by Charles Thomas, 37, of Holly Springs, was traveling south on Highway 365 when it collided with a 2021 CF MOTO ATV that was traveling east from a private drive and pulled onto Highway 365. Driver Billie J. Moss, 82, and passenger Billie J. Moss Jr., 61, both of Tishomingo, received fatal injuries from the crash. The younger man was pronounced dead at the scene. The father was airlifted to the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo where he also was pronounced dead.
This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
