Town hall on Ruidoso fire, flooding recovery efforts set for Tuesday

RUIDOSO, N.M. (KRQE) –  The State Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM) and partners will be hosting a Virtual Fire and Flood Recovery Town Hall on Tuesday. The event is being held to address the needs of residents and businesses impacted by the recent fires and flooding in New Mexico, according to DHSEM.

FEMA opens disaster recovery center in Ruidoso, New Mexico

The town hall will start at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom and will be livestreamed on Facebook. Officials attending include Ruidoso Mayor Lynn Crawford, Mescalero Apache Tribe Vice President Duane Duffy, HSEM Interim Cabinet Secretary Maj. Gen. Miguel Aguilar, DHSEM State Director Ali Rye, Robert Patterson and Jerry Holmes from FEMA and Cynthia Cowell from Small Business Administration.
