TRAFFIC ALERT: Semi-truck crash shuts down eastbound lanes on 12300 South

DRAPER, Utah (ABC4) — A semi-truck crash in Draper shut down all eastbound traffic on 12300 South on Thursday, July 18, according to city officials.

Details on the crash are limited, however, officials say the semi-truck struck a pole in the intersection of 12300 South and 265 West near I-15. The crash caused damage to the traffic signal in the intersection, disrupting the flow of traffic.

Draper City alerted drivers in the area that eastbound traffic on 123000 was shut down while UDOt made repairs to the traffic signal.

“No traffic will be allowed to turn from 265 West onto 12300 South in the Eastbound direction,” officials said.

Westbound traffic will continue to flow as normal. The Utah Department of Transportation said they estimate repairs will take a minimum of four hours, placing the earliest opening time at about 2 p.m.

According to a traffic map provided by the Utah Department of Transportation, traffic in the area has begun to slow near the intersection. A live feed camera in the area reveals Draper Police blocking lanes with one traffic signal dangling from its overhanging pole.
