Uptick in heat, humidity: When to expect rain

(WJW) – You’ll feel an uptick in the heat and humidity on Monday.

Temperatures will climb to near 90° Monday afternoon with higher humidity.

An air quality alert has been issued for Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, and Summit counties. The alert is in effect from midnight to midnight.

Tuesday will be another warm and very muggy day. Highs on Tuesday will be in the mid to upper 80s. A lake breeze and a weak cold front could trigger a few rain showers. Coverage will increase Tuesday night as the remnants of Hurricane Beryl move closer.

The highest chance of rain this week will come on Wednesday as the remnants of Beryl approach the lower Great Lakes.

Rain and a few storms will be likely Wednesday through Thursday. Heavy rainfall will be possible during this time.

Widespread rainfall totals will likely range from a 0.5″ to 1.5″. Uncertainty with tropical remains are much higher. Changes WILL be made over the next 24 hours. Stay tuned!

The remnants of Beryl should be gone by the end of the workweek. Friday should be a dry day with plenty of sunshine. Highs on Friday will be in the mid-80s.

Next weekend will be mostly dry and warm, with highs in the mid to upper 80s.
