Trump is scheduled to visit Wilkes-Barre on Aug. 17 at the Mohegan Sun Arena.

His last visit to the battleground state was on July 31 with a rally in Harrisburg when he said he was “thrilled to be back in this beautiful Commonwealth.”

More body camera footage of the July 13 shooting in Butler was released late last week. The footage — portions of which can be viewed here — shows the body camera perspective of multiple Butler Township Police Department officers in the minutes leading up to shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks‘ attempt on the former president’s life, which left Trump with an ear wound.

The U.S. Secret Service shot and killed Crooks seconds after he opened fire at Trump.

The shooting, which is still under investigation, took the life of Corey Comperatore, a 50-year-old former fire chief attending the rally. Comperatore was seated in bleachers between where Crooks was positioned and where Trump was standing. Two other attendees were wounded as well.

Both Trump’s and Harris’ campaigns are focusing on Pennsylvania as a key battleground state in the upcoming election, with Harris kicking off her campaign with Tim Walz in Philadelphia. The two candidates have agreed to debate on Sept. 10.

The White House announced Friday morning that Biden and Harris will head to Maryland on Aug. 15 for an official, non-campaign event to “discuss the progress they are making to lower costs for the American people,” according to the Associated Press.
