The speaker list for the Republican National Convention this week ranges from politicians to celebrities to — in the case of political commentator Tucker Carlson — a former Fox News figure.

Carlson, founder and host of his own online talk show, is scheduled to take the stage at Fiserv Forum this week. Here's what to know about when Carlson is speaking and what he's been up to in Milwaukee.

When is Tucker Carlson speaking at the RNC?

Carlson will address delegates during one of the two remaining nights of the convention. The RNC has not yet released a detailed Wednesday or Thursday night schedule, so it's unclear when exactly Carlson will take the stage.

We will update this page as nightly schedules are released for the convention.

What events has Tucker Carlson done in Milwaukee so far?

Though he has yet to take the stage, the conservative advocate has been keeping busy in Milwaukee.

On July 15, the opening day of the convention, Carlson addressed an audience of several hundred at The Heritage Foundation's daylong policy festival at the Bradley Symphony Center. In his 20-minute talk, Carlson criticized politicians of both parties, applauded the choice of Sen. J.D. Vance (Ohio) as vice presidential nominee and praised Trump's resilience during the assassination attempt against him.

Carlson described Vance as "one of the only members of the Senate with a happy marriage" and criticized "all the bad people" who opposed the senator as a VP pick.

Carlson also railed on the "forces of chaos and destruction, which are fundamentally anti-human, which are against people." Supporters of transhumanism, advocates of artificial intelligence, those opposing climate change and Biden administrators are all lined up in opposition to Christians, he said.

"There is a spiritual battle underway," Carlson said, adding that the "religion of Jesus" angers these people.

Why did Tucker Carlson leave Fox News?

Carlson's popular Fox News show, "Tucker Carlson Tonight," shuttered in April 2023 after the network terminated his contract. He was the most-watched host on Fox News at the time.

Carlson's firing came as Fox News settled a nearly $800 million lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems, which accused the network of airing false claims and conspiracy theories following the 2020 presidential elections. Several of Carlson's revealed text messages played a central role in the case.

In one such text, Carlson wrote to his producers hours after the Jan. 6 insurrection that a video of Trump supporters beating a protester was "not how white men fight," the New York Times reported.
