Two Memphis fugitives apprehended in Nashville rental property
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department apprehended two Memphis fugitives hiding out in a short-term rental in Nashville on Friday.
Kaimon Carwell, 23, was wanted in Memphis on charges of attempted first-degree murder, gun possession with intent to commit a felony, reckless endangerment, aggravated assault, aggravated burglary, theft and felony drug possession.
Marvin Roper, 20, was wanted on charges of evading arrest, possession of a prohibited weapon, felony theft, vehicle burglary, gun theft, reckless driving, reckless endangerment, vandalism, burglary, intent to evade with risk of death and extortion.

After hours of surveillance, detectives were able to corroborate information with the Memphis Police Department that the men were in Nashville.
When detectives made it to the rental, Carwell came out of the short-term rental after it was surrounded and announcements were made. Roper was found hiding in the rental’s attic.
