Two men shot minutes apart in separate shootings in DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said two men were shot minutes apart in Northeast and Southwest D.C.

At about 1:20 a.m., police were dispatched to the 4000 block of Minnesota Avenue for the report of a shooting.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a man who had been shot. He is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

About minutes later, at about 1:25 a.m., officers were called to the Unit block of District Square Southwest between Wharf Street and Maine Avenue for the report of a shooting.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a man who had been shot. He was transported to the hospital conscious and breathing.
