Two teenage boys wounded in South Chicago shooting, police say

Two teenage boys were shot Saturday afternoon in the city’s South Chicago neighborhood, according to Chicago police.

A 14-year-old and 15-year-old boy were standing near the sidewalk in the 2900 block of East 82nd Street when they were struck in the back by gunfire just after 3:30 p.m., police said. They were taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where they were initially reported in good condition, police said.

Police said no suspects are in custody, and that detectives are investigating the shooting.
