Two teens arrested in connection to fatal shooting in Annandale

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — The Fairfax County Police Department said two teenagers have been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting that happened in Annandale on June 30.

The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) responded to the shooting just after 11:15 p.m. in the 4100 block of Wadsworth Court.

There, they found two teen boys who had been shot.

A 16-year-old boy had been shot in his lower body, while a 14-year-old had been shot in his upper body.

14-year-old boy shot, killed in Annandale; another hurt

Despite life-saving efforts, FCPD said the 14-year-old boy died at the hospital.

The 16-year-old was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested and charged a 15-year-old with Second-Degree Murder and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony and a 16-year-old with Second-Degree Principal.

Both teens are being held at the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center.
