Tuesday night’s debate has so far touched on immigration, the fentanyl crisis, the economy, and the war in the Middle East. Vance is expected to be on the offensive and attack Walz’s military record, following Vance’s claims of “stolen valor.”

With Walz pressing Vance on his claims about Springfield, Ohio, alleging the Haitian population has abducted and eaten neighbor’s pets. 22News had a chance to speak with State Representative Carlos Gonzalez about what they hope to see during the debate.

“Bring peace to the Middle East I think that’s a critical and most important part that I heard from the Vice President,” says Gonzalez. “The Port Strike is a challenging issue and we need to support our workers whenever at all possible. Corporate elites need to understand that working-class families need to be supported.”

Tuesday night’s debate is the last scheduled debate between both parties before November’s Presidential Election.
