Veloci-capture! Woman in “Jurassic Park” Getup Charged with Assault

A 33-year-old woman was arrested and charged with assault in the second degree Saturday for attacking a man and woman unprovoked in the West Village last month, prosecutors said.

Brittney Bullock was dressed in a black-and-white striped “Jurassic Park” tank top and shorts in surveillance footage that showed her assaulting the two victims within minutes of one another on the corner of Seventh Ave. and W. 11th St., according to the criminal complaint.

On July 10th around 8:50 a.m., Bullock approached a 69-year-old man lying on a bench and aimed a kick at his head. She then sucker-punched an 89-year-old woman who was strolling towards the intersection in the face, causing a blood vessel in the victim’s eye to pop, the criminal complaint said.

Bullock didn’t say a thing as she ran up and socked her victim in the right eye, causing the older woman to fall to the ground, cops said. She fled the scene, heading west along Bank St. and carrying a black-and-white handbag.

The 89-year-old victim suffered a bruise to the face and was taken to Lenox Health Greenwich Village, where she was treated and released.

Detectives searching the area recovered the video surveillance near the scene and released the image of the woman to the media hoping someone would recognize her.

She was grabbed by NYPD Warrants Squad cops at her Brooklyn home after multiple attempts to apprehend her, including one where Bullock barricaded herself inside her apartment when officers came knocking on her door, prosecutors said.

She was ultimately arrested Friday in her Prospect Heights apartment building, about 7 miles from where the attack took place. Prosecutors said that after being apprehended, Bullock identified herself in stills from surveillance footage as the perpetrator.

Bail was set at $60,000 during her arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court Saturday evening.

Unprovoked attacks in the city are on the rise this year, with five occurring in 10 days in May, police said.

In an unrelated incident on Aug. 2, an 82-year-old woman collecting cans on a Bronx street was viciously assaulted by a man and a woman in an unprovoked attack, cops said.

The victim was hunting for recyclables along E. 212th St. near White Plains Road in Williamsbridge at about 7 p.m. when the pair came upon her and shoved and began to beat on the woman.

The suspects in the Bronx attack remained at large Saturday.
