Watch Keanu Reeves Receive Tactical Training from a Navy SEAL for John Wick 3

Keanu Reeves is training with the best for the upcoming third John Wick movie.

The actor headed down to Florida to train with expert Shawn Ryan, a former Navy SEAL who runs a training camp for people going into law enforcement and civilians.

Vigilance Elite, the name of the camp, released video of Reeves training, with Ryan taking him step-by-step through what real Navy SEALs would do in similar situations.

Reeves learned real-life tips like how to get through doorways when approaching a room that could have targets inside.

“We call the doorway the fatal funnel, because that’s where all the rounds are going to come,” Ryan says in the video.

The actor, who has a background in martial arts, reportedly performs around 90% of his stunts for the films.

The veteran also teaches Reeves what the moves would look like as he enters a room with a gun, including jabbing it forward in case someone is waiting in the blindspot just beyond the doorway.

This isn’t the first time footage has been released of Reeves training for his roles. The actor was also seen completing a three-minute gun drill in 2016 in expert fashion, going from target to target and hitting his marks.

Reeves is reprising his character in John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum. The cult hit franchise revolves around Wick, a formerly retired assassin who is brought out of retirement by nefarious means.

Wick teams up with a hit-woman played by Halle Berry in the third movie, who is set to help him escape New York City now that there is a bounty on his head.

John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum hits theaters May 17.
