Day two of the 2024 Republican National Convention kicked off Tuesday and is scheduled to focus on law enforcement and border security.
The theme of "Make America Safe Again" stood as a backdrop as an out-of-town police officer shot and killed a person early Tuesday afternoon about a mile away from the convention, according to reporting from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel — a part of the USA TODAY Network.
Scheduled speakers for Tuesday include Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Vivek Ramaswamy and Florida Senator Marco Rubio
The Republican National Convention is in Milwaukee through Thursday where former President Donald Trump on Thursday will formally accept the party’s nomination for the 2024 Election.
