Wawa coming to Georgia with six locations open by 2025. Here's what to know

Buc-ee's isn't the only iconic gas station and convenience store chain coming to Georgia.

Wawa is currently building six stores in the Peach State. The chain sets itself apart with a modern design and amenities like free air stations, a variety of food service selections, and surcharge-free ATMs.

According to spokesperson Lori Bruce, two will open this fall in Brunswick at U.S. 341 and Community Road and another in Bainbridge at 356 West Orange St. Two more will open near the start of 2025 in Bainbridge at U.S. 84 and U.S. 27 and in Hinesville at E. General Stewart Way and E. Oglethorpe Hwy. Another two will open a few months later in Pooler at Pooler Parkway and Pine Barren Road and in Hinesville at Veterans Parkway and Elma G. Miles Parkway.

But these won't be the last. Wawa has further plans for southern and Coastal Georgia with more sites under contract in Brunswick, Jesup, Hinesville, Pooler, Waycross, Bainbridge, Tifton, Valdosta, and Albany. Over the next 5-8 years, 26 new stores will be developed in southern and Coastal Georgia, opening 3-4 stores per year.

Once open, each store will employ an average of 35 associates, with Wawa expecting to create about 1,000 long-term new jobs as a result of expansion in Georgia.

Wawa is particularly popular in the northeast, however there are also several locations in Florida. For more information, go to wawa.com.
