Weather Forecast: Our weekend is here with mixed results ahead
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) —
It’s likely mostly cloudy skies will continue Saturday with spotty rain showers around at times. That’s a ominous-sounding forecast to start a weekend, but I don’t think it will prove to be overly consequential to outdoor plans/events. Temperatures should find their way into the lower 80s by the afternoon.
With how active our Sun has been, it's no surprise another opportunity to see the northern lights could present this weekend. Saturday night looks like the target with G2 conditions in the forecast. pic.twitter.com/KM9KVhsWht

Hopefully, we can get a few cloud breaks to develop Saturday night with another chance to see the northern lights expected.
Sunday will be the quieter (and hotter) of the two weekend days. Expect a good amount of sunshine helping highs climb into the upper 80s to around 90°. That will likely mark a top in terms of heat with a cold front expected to slide through the region early next week. That should help drop our temperatures into the 70s by Tuesday and beyond.
