The U.S. Supreme Court ruled Monday that presidents are shielded from some criminal prosecution as long as they are acting in an official capacity.

In the first-of-its-kind 6-3 decision, the ruling also decided that former President Donald Trump could be tried for his actions that were not taken in his official capacity.
