Westbound lane of Northern Avenue closed daily July 8-12

Each day through Friday, July 12, beginning at 7 a.m., the right westbound lane of Northern Avenue will be closed to traffic between Fountainhead Road and Pennsylvania Avenue. The lane will be reopened to traffic by 5 p.m. each day. The right turn lane onto Pennsylvania Avenue, however, will remain closed continuously until Friday, July 12. The left westbound lane will not be closed to traffic.

Motorists approaching the closure will encounter cones, barricades, arrow panels and other traffic control devices.

Westbound emergency vehicles will be able to pass through this section of Northern Avenue, but dispatchers should be aware that some congestion and traffic delays are likely.

The temporary lane closure is required to accommodate bypass piping that will be needed to perform flushing and inspecting of the sanitary sewer line.
