Why has it been so smoky outside?
Fayetteville, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA)— If you’ve been outside recently, you’ve probably noticed the air isn’t as clear. The reason for that is wildfires in the Pacific Northwest.
The smoke from those fires is being carried into the jet stream and thus flowing into Northwest Arkansas. It is affecting the air quality slightly, but mainly reducing visibility.
