Woman charged with first-degree murder after fatal Norfolk stabbing

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A 45-year-old woman is facing charges following a stabbing in Norfolk earlier this year that left a man dead, police said.

On Jan. 8, around 10:50 p.m., officers responded to 871 N Military Highway to assist EMS personnel who were on scene for the report of an injured person.

Officers arrived to find a man suffering from a life-threatening stab wound. 57-year-old Clarence E. Jefferson was taken to the hospital for treatment where he later died from his injuries.

As a result of their investigation, Shantika A. Davis was charged with first-degree murder. She was arrested on June 8 in Virginia Beach and is currently being held in Norfolk City Jail without bond.
