Woman dies in broad daylight shooting near DC’s Fort Dupont Park

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said a woman has died after a shooting in Southeast D.C. on Saturday afternoon.

MPD said that at about 2:35 p.m., it was dispatched to the 3300 block of Fort Dupont Drive for a shooting.

National Weather Service issues excessive heat watch for Montgomery County

Police said a woman was found dead at the scene.

MPD said it’s looking for a White Sedan with heavy tints.
