Woman gets 10-year sentence for role in fatal Buffalo robbery

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Cheektowaga woman who admitted to first-degree robbery during a fatal double shooting in Buffalo was sentenced to 10 years in prison, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office announced.

In September 2019, Sharee Bailey, 32, took part in a robbery on Merrimac Street that resulted in the deaths of both Shaquiel St. John, 26, and Bethany Malloy, 21, officials said.

Last month, the men accused of killing them, Ernest Green and Wayne Robbins, were sentenced to spend the rest of their lives in prison. Green and Daniel Rodriguez, both 41, were also sentenced for killing 31-year-old Danielle Cretacci in her Town of Tonawanda home approximately one month before the murders of St. John and Malloy.

Although Bailey had been indicted in relation to Cretacci’s murder, the Erie County District Attorney’s office says she only pleaded guilty to the robbery on Merrimac.

“She was offered a plea agreement in exchange for her testimony at trial,” the DA’s office told News 4 WIVB.

Prosecutors said that in her testimony, she said she met Green after Cretacci’s murder. This was corroborated by phone records and other interviews.

Bailey, who was in custody before her sentencing, had been facing up to 25 years in prison. In addition to the lighter prison sentence, Bailey will spend five years under post-release supervision.
