Woman in ‘Jurassic Park’ tank top punches 89-year-old stranger in random NYC attack

She’s trouble with a capital T-Rex.

An unhinged woman wearing a black-and-white striped “Jurassic Park” tank top and shorts sucker-punched an 89-year-old woman in the face during an unprovoked attack in the West Village, police said Saturday.

The July 10 clash is the latest in a series of unprovoked stranger attacks to hit the city, cops said.

The senior was nearing the corner of Seventh Ave. and W. 11th St. at about 8:50 a.m. on July 10 when the stranger approached, cops said.

The younger woman didn’t say a thing as she ran up and socked her victim in the right eye, causing her to fall to the ground, cops said. The punchy perpetrator, last seen carrying a black-and-white handbag, then ran off and was last seen heading west along Bank St.

The senior suffered a bruise to the face and was taken to Lenox Hill Greenwich Village, where she was treated and released.

Detectives searching the area recovered video surveillance of the assailant near the scene. On Saturday, cops released the image of the woman, described as Black with short cornrow braids, hoping that someone recognizes her.

Unprovoked attacks in the city are on the rise this year, with five occurring in 10 days in May, police said.

Anyone with information regarding the woman’s whereabouts is urged to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
