Woman remains in critical condition after being hit by Amtrak train in Sebring
SEBRING ‒ The woman who was critically injured while walking on railroad tracks early Monday has been identified as Allison Carter, 21, of Beloit.
She was injured and 21-year-old Michael Lawson Jr. of Alliance was killed when they were hit by an Amtrak passenger train while walking on the Norfolk Southern line at 1:59 a.m. Monday, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

Carter was in critical condition at the Summa Health System Akron Campus. The collision occurred near Pennsylvania Avenue between 16th and 17th streets.
It is not clear why the pair were walking in area.
