Woman stabbed, man charged with attempted murder, police say
ACADIA PARISH, La. (KLFY) — A woman was hospitalized and a man was arrested Saturday evening in connection with a reported stabbing, according to authorities.
Estherwood Police Chief Wayne Welsh said officers responded to a reported stabbing on Miller Avenue. There, they found a woman lying down, bleeding.
Welsh said the woman was taken to a hospital for treatment and a man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing.
The man, whose name has not yet been released, faces charges of attempted first-degree murder and resisting, according to authorities.
