Each week the Clarion Ledger highlights the achievements of outstanding local high school students. Out of five nominees, there can only be one Jackson Metro Student of the Week.
The votes are in.
It was a close race. With 49% of the votes, Raivyn Lewis of Forest Hill High School is the Clarion Ledger's Jackson Metro Student of the Week for Dec. 8-14.
Lewis was also a nominee for Student of the Week Sept. 15-21.
As an APAC student Lewis maintains a 4.0 while being a basketball athlete. She is always willing to go over and beyond for her peers who can always count on her greeting them with a smile. Lewis participates in student government, is a new member of JROTC and basketball.

You can vote to decide the next Jackson Metro Student of the Week. Polls open Monday mornings and close Thursdays at noon. Winners are announced on Friday.
