Worried it’s too hot for parades on Fourth of July? SLO County town to livestream festivities

Worried about it being too hot for parades on the Fourth of July? One San Luis Obispo County town is planning to livestream its festivities — meaning you can enjoy it from the comfort of your own air-conditioned home.

With heat wave warnings in effect across the county, Templeton Parade chairman Jason Tesarz said parade organizers will livestream the Thursday morning event on Youtube. The link for that is youtube.com/@whatsupnorthcounty.

Templeton is expected to see temperatures in the high 90s on Thursday, even as other parts of the county are forecast to see temperatures in the triple digits.

For those who don’t mind the heat, the parade is expected to start at 10 a.m. at Templeton Park. Accessible parking is available at Templeton Presbyterian Church and behind Central Coast Pharmacy Specialists. There will also be a shuttle to take people to and from the parade.

Parade organizers also encouraged people to bring plenty of water for the parade.
