Say "Yes" to a Seattle Wedding at The Fairmont Olympic

Seattle's Most Celebrated Social Address Announces a Unique Partnership With Designer Luly Yang

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - Oct 2, 2012) - The Fairmont Olympic Seattle hotel has partnered with renowned designer, Luly Yang, to launch one of the most exciting and original bridal promotions in the city. "Say Yes and Get the Dress was a collaborative effort," said Fairmont Wedding Specialist, Dana Schroader. "We wanted to partner with a designer that understands the luxury customer and could surprise and delight our brides with a unique package that no one else could deliver. Luly Yang was the perfect choice."

"The package is simple, but it includes two of the most important choices that a bride makes when planning a wedding -- the venue and, of course, the dress -- it is all about the dress," said Catering Director, Jana Scopis. When couples reserve their wedding at The Fairmont Olympic, the bride will receive her choice of either a 'ready to wear' or a 'couture' level Luly Yang wedding dress as a gift from the hotel.

The buzz is building and the Say Yes and Get the Dress Seattle wedding package debuted with a launch party at the Luly Yang boutique, which is located at The Fairmont. A mix of wedding industry insiders, brides and media met to celebrate this exclusive partnership that officially launches this week. Guests toasted with champagne and bites while DJ Chris Graves set the festive mood. Much shopping and celebrating took place amongst the tempting displays of charmeuse, voile and silk dresses. One lucky winner received a pair of Luly Yang couture shoes; another guest won high tea for five in the Georgian restaurant!

Luly Yang was born in Taiwan, and was introduced to couture design by her mother and grandmother. After formal study of graphic design, experience in the fields of architecture and fitness training gave Luly an eye for precise design that centers on highlighting what is unique and beautiful for each of her customers. "The woman and her body are the soul of the design." Starting her design studio in 2000, Ms. Yang has won numerous awards, including Best Couture Dress by Seattle Bride Magazine for eight consecutive years, as well as Puget Sound Business Journals' prestigious "Women of Influence" award in 2010 -- recognizing Ms. Yang's business and philanthropic contributions to the community.

The Fairmont Olympic Seattle hotel has been the city's most celebrated social address since opening in 1924. On the site of the original University of Washington campus, the hotel spans an entire city block and was revitalized and reopened in 1982. The Olympic hotel was built as a unique private & public partnership and has been a source of community pride and the city's most glamorous events for over 85 years.
