York County community implements burn ban

PARADISE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) – A York County community is now under an indefinite burn ban.

Paradise Township says as of 8 a.m. on July 11 there is a burn ban in place until further notice.

Burn bans typically prohibit the burning of material such as garbage, leaves, grass, twips, and other combustible material outdoors. The use of stoves, grills, and tobacco are typically not covered by a burn ban.

The Pennsylvania Department of Natural Resources and Conservation says campfires are allowed in the fire rings that confine and contain the campfire in a designated state, federal, or Department of Environmental Protection licensed campground.
