
A man accused of plotting an "unthinkable" attack on a Texas Walmart has been arrested and charged with making a terroristic threat, officials said. Last week, investigators intercepted a message indicating that Coleman Thomas Blevins, 28, of Kerrville, Texas, was planning a mass shooting, and had mentioned Walmart, according to a news release from the Kerr County Sheriff's Office. After arresting Blevins on Friday, authorities discovered firearms, ammunition and "radical ideology paraphernalia, including books, flags and handwritten documents" in his home, the news release said.

Police have identified two men who died in a small plane crash over the weekend in the mountains of northern Utah. Devin Criddle, 26, died at the scene of the crash near Powder Mountain ski area Saturday morning, authorities said. He was a student at Utah State University and was taking his first flight in hopes of becoming a pilot one day, his sister Carlee Criddle told KTVX-TV in Salt Lake City.

Federal authorities have jailed a Kentucky man who received one of former Gov. Matt Bevin's controversial pardons in December 2019. Patrick Brian Baker, 43, was convicted of reckless homicide in the death of Donald Mills during a Knox County home invasion in 2014. In his pardon, Bevin described the evidence against Baker as โsketchy at bestโ even though an appeals court rejected Baker's appeal with a judge noting the โevidence of Baker's guilt was overwhelming.โ

A drunk man in Wisconsin got quite a surprise when he reportedly woke up in an Airbnb full of sheriff's deputies. Deputies with the Flathead County Sheriff's Office in Montana rented a house in Milwaukee while they were in town for police training, KULR reported. About 2:30 a.m., one of the deputies heard some crashing upstairs but thought it was one of this colleagues, he said in a video posted to TikTok.

Cancer patients who decided not to seek treatment during lockdown are now overwhelming emergency units at hospitals across the country, health chiefs have warned. Chris Hopson, chief executive of NHS Providers, said A&E units were struggling to cope with the number of people seeking emergency treatment for cancer, hip and knee operations and other serious ailments after deciding not to come forward for help during the pandemic. A man in Colorado was seriously injured Sunday night when a bear attacked him in his own garage, Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials say. Around 11 p.m., the man noticed the garage door at his Steamboat Springs home was open, and went to close it, officials said in a news release.

Leading Cuban dissident Luis Manuel Otero Alcantara was discharged from hospital on Monday, four weeks after authorities ended his hunger and thirst strike and admitted the "artivist." A piranha mysteriously turned up in a Louisiana lake โ and officials are on the hunt for others that may be skulking in the water. The red piranha, a species native to South America, was caught last week in University Lakes in Baton Rouge, according to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife & Fisheries. But piranhas aren't supposed to be found anywhere near Louisiana, leading wildlife officials to believe it was illegally kept as a pet and released into the lake.

A man shot and killed Saturday night at a busy waterfront bar at the Lake of the Ozarks has been identified as Vonza Watson, a 27-year-old aspiring musician and visual artist, according to multiple news reports. Watson, who grew up in Michigan and Jefferson City, Missouri, had most recently been living in the Kansas City area, a friend said. Watson was shot in the chest shortly before 11 p.m. at Lazy Gators, a waterfront venue next to the popular Shady Gators bar and grill near Lake Ozark, Missouri.

The police in Michigan issued a woman a $385 ticket for talking too loud on the phone in her neighborhood on Thursday, according to local reports. Diamond Robinson was walking down her street in Eastpointe when her neighbor asked her to "get off your phone or talk lower," Robinson told Fox 2 Detroit. A UFO filmmaker shared a video clip on Thursday depicting radar footage he claimed shows a swarm of unidentified flying objects near a Navy ship off the coast of San Diego almost two years ago. Police in Belize who arrested the daughter-in-law of billionaire Tory donor Lord Ashcroft over the death of an officer are said to be investigating whether the 38-year-old American suspect had been playing with the victim's pistol before the fatal shooting. Jasmine Hartin was found on a dock near where police superintendent Henry Jemmott was discovered dead early on Friday in the town of San Pedro, and has been held in custody over the weekend.
