Brenda James told KSAZ that her daughter, whose name has not been released, was walking with a friend near a park in San Tan Valley, Ariz., at 3:45 p.m. when a man in a white SUV approached the two children. A suburban Chicago police chief says the white officer who fatally shot a black security guard outside a bar has been placed on administrative leave. Midlothian Police Chief Dan Delaney said Tuesday the move is standard procedure following a police-involved shooting.
