While President Trump repeatedly attacks the New York Times and other purveyors of “fake news,” New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is targeting her own media foe: the New York Post. In a Sunday interview with the Yahoo News podcast “Skullduggery,” the freshman New York congresswoman explained why she is endorsing a boycott of the paper organized by local Yemeni-American bodega owners, calling the Post's attack on her friend Rep. Ilhan Omar “beyond the pale. Ever since she was elected last November, the Post has relentlessly attacked Ocasio-Cortez over her progressive views and her opposition to Amazon's plan to move its headquarters to Queens.
Congressional Democrats could move forward quickly - as early as Monday - with subpoenas to obtain Special Counsel Robert Mueller's full report on Russian interference in the U.S. 2016 election, after Attorney General William Barr releases a version on Thursday that may have significant portions blacked out. A day before the planned release of a redacted version of the report, President Donald Trump went to Twitter to renew his attacks on the special counsel's investigation and the FBI. When the report is released, close attention will be given not only to potential new details on the Trump campaign's contacts with Russia and the question of whether the Republican president acted to impede the inquiry, but also on how much Barr elects to withhold.

Consumer Reports has no financial relationship with advertisers on this site. It's fitting that Hyundai took the wraps off the tiny Venue SUV at the New York International Auto Show, because it's small enough to park on crowded city streets where few other vehicles would fit. It's the seventh SUV in the automaker's lineup, and Hyundai has no qualms about calling the Venue “entry level.” It is destined to replace the Accent hatchback.

The building itself also contained one of America's largest Porsche collections according to the Charlotte Observer. Bob Ingram, a retired pharmaceuticals executive, and his wife reportedly started the collection in 1998 after a visit to the Monterey Historic Automobile Races.
President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday vowed to rebuild Notre-Dame cathedral "even more beautifully" within five years, as France reeled with shock from the fire that gutted the great Paris landmark. Macron announced the fast timescale -- for a process some experts said would take decades -- in an address to the nation where he hailed how the disaster had shown the capacity of France to mobilise and unite. Pledges worth around 700 million euros ($790 million) have already been made Tuesday from French billionaires and businesses to restore the Gothic masterpiece.
Benjamin Netanyahu the finance minister would find a lot not to like about Israel's economy these days. Now headed for a fifth stint as prime minister, Netanyahu -- who began his path back to power as finance chief from 2003 to 2005 -- will have to contend with a widening budget deficit and criticism of interventionist policies that call into question his reputation as a stalwart of capitalism and fiscal discipline. The nation's debt burden is rising for the first time since Netanyahu, popularly known as Bibi, began his second term in 2009 and Israel is ranked behind Kosovo and Moldova in the World Bank's latest Doing Business report.

The body of Sol Pais, a student from Surfside, Florida, was found by authorities about 40 miles (64 km) west of Columbine High School, at about 10:30 a.m. local time, said Dean Phillips, special agent in charge of the Denver office of the FBI.
The European Union has drawn up a list of $20 billion worth of U.S. products it could tax in an escalating feud over plane industry subsidies, the EU's executive commission said Wednesday. The extent of the EU punitive duties will depend on a ruling by the World Trade Organization.
North Korea has dispatched teams to neighbouring China to track down and kill, if necessary, as many as seven members of the Ministry of State Security who have fled in a snowballing series of defections, according to dissident media. The crisis in the ranks of North Korea's secret police agency can be traced back to immediately after the failure of the Hanoi summit between Kim Jong-un, the North Korean dictator, and US President Donald Trump in February, reported the Daily NK, citing reports from its network of undercover “citizen reporters” in North Korea and China.
Attorney General William Barr said that special counsel Robert Mueller's 22-month investigation produced “no evidence of any collusion” between the Trump campaign and Russia during a press conference Thursday held hours before the release of the special counsel report. “After two years of investigation the special counsel did confirm Russian meddling in 2016 campaign but no evidence of any collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia,” Barr said. Barr's categorical description puts to rest the suggestion by many of the president's critics that, while Barr's summary of the report made clear that Mueller could not prove criminal coordination beyond a reasonable doubt, his report would likely include some evidence of same.
Fox Business Network host Lou Dobbs suggested Tuesday evening that French officials made a “political decision” to quickly rule out arson as the cause of the fire that destroyed much of the historic Notre Dame cathedral in Paris. While French authorities are currently treating the blaze as an accident and have ruled out—for the moment—arson and terrorism, baseless speculation and wild conspiracy theories have run rampant, especially on the right. Conservative host Glenn Beck, for instance, said: “If this was started by Islamists, I don't think you'll find out about it, because I think it would set the entire country on fire.

Aranda, 24, who lives in Minneapolis, did not enter a plea, Laszewski added.

A Republican lawmaker's invitation for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to meet with coal miners in his home state of Kentucky backfired completely after the progressive Washington newcomer accepted without hesitation. Ms Ocasio-Cortez, the youngest woman ever elected to serve in the US House of Representatives, has served as a lightning rod across party lines for her Green New Deal resolution, which seeks to provide a comprehensive response to the global threat of climate change. Andy Barr, the Kentucky Republican who initially invited the 29-year-old congresswoman to his state, said at the time that local coal miners would tell her “what the Green New Deal would mean for their families, their paychecks,” while suggesting the resolution could destroy their industry.
