WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump claimed vindication from a summary made public Sunday of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, despite unanswered questions about whether the president's actions constituted obstruction of justice. It was a complete and total exoneration,” the president said as he boarded Air Force One in Palm Beach, Florida, en route to Washington. "It's a shame that our country had to go through this," Trump said.
Two Russian air force planes landed at Venezuela's main airport on Saturday carrying a Russian defense official and nearly 100 troops, according to media reports, amid strengthening ties between Caracas and Moscow. That comes three months after the two nations held military exercises on Venezuelan soil that President Nicolas Maduro called a sign of strengthening relations, but which Washington criticized as Russian encroachment in the region.

"The risk to the passengers and the vessel was high," Dag Sverre Liseth, director of the marine department at the Accident Investigations Board Norway, told AFP.

The main opposition party, Pheu Thai, had 6.6 million.
The new update, released Monday, brings a host of new features including Apple News+, new Animoji and support for the new AirPods hitting store shelves this week. Prominently featured in TV and online ads, the rebranding is all part of a bid to make people think AT&T has a massive headstart on 5G over rivals Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile. Unlike real, faster 5G – which AT&T is actually rolling out across the country and will require new devices with the proper hardware inside – 5G E is no different from the 4G LTE service you were getting in the same location yesterday.

On the day of his 6-year-old daughter's funeral, as Jeremy Richman and his wife gathered with loved ones, an idea emerged for a way to channel their grief: a foundation to promote research into the brain pathologies that lead to violence. Within months of the slaying of their curly-haired first-grader Avielle in the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre, the couple launched The Avielle Foundation with the goal of trying to prevent others from suffering such tragedies. Richman dedicated himself to the cause, becoming known locally and nationally for his advocacy on mental health issues, up until his death on Monday.

Days after special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election has ended, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler said his committee will fight for the full report to be released to the public and argued against President Trump asserting executive privilege to block its release. “It's so crucial that the entire report and the evidence underlying it be released to the public,” Nadler, D-N.Y., told CNN's Dana Bash on “State of the Union” Sunday. Nadler said his committee would be willing to go to the Supreme Court to get all of the information in the report, if the president asserts executive privilege to block some of the investigation's findings from being made public.

Theresa May will face up to her own desperately weak political position on Monday as members of Parliament move to take over Brexit policy and her own ministers plot to oust her. The U.K. prime minister is under pressure from colleagues inside her Cabinet to name a date when she will step down, with some arguing this would help her win support for her Brexit deal, people familiar with the matter said. May is hoping for one more chance to put the divorce agreement she's negotiated with the European Union to a vote in the House of Commons this week.

The tech industry certainly has its share of scandals, but the drama surrounding Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou certainly takes things to the next level. This past December, Wanzhou was arrested in Canada (at the behest of the United States) on charges of wire fraud and improper business dealings with Iran. Wanzhou may ultimately be extradited to the U.S. as China, not surprisingly, has vehemently denied the allegations on Wanzhou's behalf.
