‘The Bachelorette’ Frontrunner Greg’s Grippo on Katie Thurston Takes a Nightmarish Turn

Bachelorette frontrunner Greg Grippo seemed bound to make it to the end, but now it seems he's left for good. Katie Thurston's obvious feelings for the floppy-haired marketing sales rep have made him a frontrunner from the first episode, but on Monday night the two finished their dream date with a fight that bordered on surreal. Greg spent the night essentially begging Katie to blow up the show for him—while Katie steadfastly refused to tell the man she's said she's falling in love with that she is, in fact, falling in love with him.

Florida and Texas accounted for one-third of all new U.S. coronavirus cases last week, White House says

States with low vaccination rates are driving a new coronavirus wave sweeping over the nation, with the much more transmissible Delta strain filling hospitals across the southern U.S. Two states, Texas and Florida, stand out as hot spots, accounting for a full third of all new cases nationwide last week, White House pandemic response coordinator Jeff Zients revealed during a Monday press briefing. Over the weekend, Florida had the unwelcome distinction of breaking a national record, reporting 21,000 new cases, the most for one day in any state since the pandemic began in early 2020. From the start, we've known this virus is unpredictable,” Zients said.
