Have you ever wondered what it's like to get the full Jim Harbaugh ref experience, from the frenzied, unblinking eyes staring at you to the constantly agape mouth? With officials wearing hat cams at the 2022 Big Ten Championship Game between Michigan and Purdue, it was only a matter of time before Harbaugh went off. To be fair to Harbaugh, very few of us would look normal when recorded during an argument and aired in slow motion, but the Michigan coach does seem to take the weirdness to another level.
A gunmaker promised one of its pistols sold in the U.S. “won't fire unless you want it to” — but a new federal lawsuit argues that's a lie. The lives of experienced gun users, who are suing Sig Sauer, Inc., were “upended” by the company's “dangerously defective pistol,” a complaint filed Nov. 30 in federal court in New Hampshire states. Twenty plaintiffs named in the lawsuit became gunshot victims when their own Sig Sauer P320 Pistol fired unexpectedly, without the trigger ever being touched, according to the complaint representing the plaintiffs nationwide.
Micaela looked alarmed when she turned to me at the bar and told me she thought she might have been needle spiked, or injected with drugs. Prior to her move to London in September for graduate school, my friend Micaela, 27, received a warning from a friend in Germany about the prevalence of spiking throughout Europe – either by slipping a drug into a drink or injecting drugs into someone's body with a hypodermic needle. Micaela, whose last name isn't included due to the nature of her experience, hadn't even taken a sip of her drink when she felt the jab in her hip.

Despite a relentless grilling on ABC's “This Week,” Rep. David Joyce (R-Ohio) on Sunday refused to condemn Donald Trump's jaw-dropping demand to terminate the Constitution and anoint him as president. Joyce bizarrely insisted Trump's statement needs to be taken in “context” (though failed to explain what that might be) and that Trump “says a lot of things.” Joyce also insisted he “can't be chasing every one of these crazy statements” and that terminating the Constitution is “fantasy,” not a reality.
KYIV (Reuters) -Russian President Vladimir Putin is not sincere about peace talks with Ukraine while he is taking the war to a new level of "barbarism" by trying to turn off the lights of civilians, a top U.S. diplomat said on Saturday. U.S. Under Secretary for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland met President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and other senior Ukrainian officials in Kyiv to show support at a time when Russia is trying to destroy the country's energy infrastructure. "And it's very clear, whether it's the energy attacks, whether it's the rhetoric out of the Kremlin and the general attitude, that Putin is not sincere or ready for that."

The Supreme Court is about to confront a new elections case, a Republican-led challenge asking the justices for a novel ruling that could significantly increase the power of state lawmakers over elections for Congress and the presidency. The court is set to hear arguments Wednesday in a case from North Carolina, where Republican efforts to draw congressional districts heavily in their favor were blocked by a Democratic majority on the state Supreme Court because the GOP map violated the state constitution. A court-drawn map produced seven seats for each party in last month's midterm elections in highly competitive North Carolina.

While it may be unlikely in a politically divided Washington, Labor Secretary Marty Walsh says that immigration reform is what should be top of mind for lawmakers after Friday's November jobs report showed stronger-than-expected results but a lingering skills gap. Friday's report reported growth in both overall job levels as well as average hourly earnings with an unemployment rate that remained at a low 3.7% — in spite of months of interest rate increases from the Federal Reserve that are expected to eventually increase unemployment. During a Yahoo Finance Live appearance on Friday, Secretary Walsh said when he travels around the country, what businesses tell him they need most are skilled workers and that the need remains common across healthcare, tech, and other sectors.

RIYADH (Reuters) -Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman hosts China's leader this week at a delicate moment in U.S.-Saudi ties, signalling Riyadh's resolve to navigate a polarised global order regardless of the wishes of its Western allies, analysts said. The ruler of the oil giant has made a comeback on the world stage following the 2018 murder of Jamal Khashoggi, which cast a pall over Saudi-U.S. ties, and has been defiant in the face of U.S. ire over the kingdom's energy policy and pressure from Washington to help isolate Russia. In a show of strength as an aspiring leader of the Arab world, Prince Mohammed will also gather rulers from across the Middle East and North Africa for a Chinese-Arab summit during the visit by President Xi Jinping expected to start on Tuesday.

French President Emmanuel Macron's suggestion the West should consider Russia's need for security guarantees if Moscow agrees to talks to end the war in Ukraine unleashed a storm of criticism in Kyiv and its Baltic allies over the weekend. In an interview with French TV station TF1, Macron said that Europe needs to prepare its future security architecture and also think "how to give guarantees to Russia the day it returns to the negotiating table." Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's top aide, Mykhailo Podolyak, said that it is the world that needs security guarantees from Russia, not the other way around.

General Relativity states that space and time are fused and that nothing can travel faster than the speed of light. General relativity also describes how mass and energy warp spacetime – hefty objects like stars and black holes curve spacetime around them. This curvature is what you feel as gravity and why many spacefaring heroes worry about “getting stuck in” or “falling into” a gravity well.
The Group of Seven price cap on Russian seaborne oil came into force on Monday as the West tries to limit Moscow's ability to finance its war in Ukraine, but Russia has said it will not abide by the measure even if it has to cut production. The price cap, to be enforced by the G7, the European Union and Australia, comes on top of the EU's embargo on imports of Russian crude by sea and similar pledges by the United States, Canada, Japan and Britain. It allows Russian oil to be shipped to third-party countries using G7 and EU tankers, insurance companies and credit institutions, only if the cargo is bought at or below the price cap.
“Democrats succeeded again in making the former President a central campaign issue, and Mr. Trump helped them do it.”
“If you work…to install a Supreme Court that will eliminate constitutional rights, prepare to live with the electoral consequences.”
“Trump pretty reliably put his thumb on the scale for the riskiest and most flawed candidates.”
“The Republicans should have done much better on inflation and the economy. They lacked an effective and transparent message.”
“Where does Trump end and the far-right begin?”
